Due to recent enquiries from customers we would like to clarify the difference between basic on site cutting and our new one stop installation service. Which when you read on you will see the difference between what at first seems the same service..
Basic On Site Cutting
Basic on site cutting of granite and quartz worktops can be a messy, noisy and inaccurate service that is still offered by many companies in the UK. The basic on site cutting service is where a couple of installers arrive at your home and try to fashion your granite or quartz worktops from a blank slab that they have purchased usually from a wholesaler or cheaply from the internet.
The tools used to complete your installation are nothing more than basic hand grinders that can be purchased from local DIY stores for approximately £150.00
Usually this type of installation process requires a simple measure only and a rough polish on any exposed ends. The raw slabs used are normally purchased at 630 or 650mm widths. Once the blank has been laid on the cabinets they then have to try and trim the backs of the slab to suit. This is done by using a diamond tipped angle grinder blade which is incredibly noisy, messy and slow.
